The Story Behind Health With Hunter
From a 50-Pound Transformation to a Growing Wellness Brand: Meet Health With Hunter

What started as a personal health and weight-loss journey has evolved into a growing wellness brand built around practical advice, product discoveries, and one simple goal: making healthy living feel less complicated.
For Hunter, the creator behind Health With Hunter (@healthwithhunter), the journey began in college, when he lost approximately 50 pounds and developed a completely new relationship with food, wellness, and healthy living.
“I wanted to create the type of content I wish I had when I was starting out: simple, realistic, and approachable advice that didn’t make healthy living feel overwhelming,” Hunter says.
That philosophy has become the foundation of Health With Hunter—and a major reason his content has resonated with an increasingly large audience.

When the Content Started Taking Off
Hunter began to realize he was building something bigger when his grocery store videos started reaching people far beyond his existing followers.
“People were saving them, sharing them with friends and family, and messaging me saying they bought something because they discovered it through one of my videos,” he says.
That was the moment Hunter realized Health With Hunter could become more than simply an account for posting online.
His grocery store content has since become one of the defining elements of the brand, giving followers practical recommendations they can immediately use in their everyday lives.
Instagram, Consistency, and the Power of Being Useful
Instagram has been Hunter’s biggest growth driver, largely because his content is highly visual and actionable.
“People tell me all the time they go into grocery stores with screenshots of my posts!” he says.
Whether followers are shopping at Target, Whole Foods, Walmart, Costco, or somewhere else, the content gives them recommendations they can immediately put into practice.
But Hunter doesn’t attribute his growth to the platform alone. Consistency has been a major part of his strategy.
“I post every day and constantly test new ideas, formats, hooks, and topics,” he says. “I pay close attention to what my audience responds to and use that information to make the next piece of content even better.”
For creators hoping to build an audience of their own, Hunter believes that willingness to experiment—and keep going—is critical.
Build Trust Before Chasing the Deal
Hunter’s advice to creators starting from scratch is straightforward: create something people actually need.
“Create content that actually provides value,” he says. “Give people a reason to follow you beyond simply liking your personality or aesthetic.”
He also emphasizes the importance of understanding what makes you different.
“Ask yourself what makes you different from everyone else out there in your niche/category.”
But above all, Hunter believes consistency is essential.
“This is number one on the importance scale to me,” he says. “You can’t post five times, not get the results you wanted, and decide it isn’t working.”
Building an audience, he explains, requires “time, repetition, experimentation, and a willingness to evolve.”
And when it comes to monetizing that audience, Hunter has a clear philosophy: protect the trust you’ve worked to build.
“Don’t recommend something just because you’re being paid to talk about it,” he says. “Your audience’s trust is worth far more than any individual brand deal.”
His bottom line?
“Long term trust > short-term money always.”
Let Your Audience Tell You What to Create
For Hunter, coming up with content doesn’t necessarily mean sitting down and brainstorming from scratch. Many of his ideas come directly from what he’s already doing.
“I genuinely love walking through grocery stores, reading ingredient labels, finding new products, and seeing how the wellness space is changing,” he says.
His audience also provides a constant source of inspiration.
“My DMs and comments are essentially a never-ending source of content ideas!” Hunter says.
When followers repeatedly ask about an ingredient, product, brand, or category, he sees an opportunity to answer that question for an even larger audience.
“I try to make content that answers the questions people are constantly asking me.”
Turning Followers Into a Business
As Health With Hunter has grown, Hunter has approached the platform as a business and brand—not simply a social media account.
“I’ve always looked at Health With Hunter as a brand and business, not just a typical social media account,” he says.
That perspective has opened the door to long-term partnerships with brands he genuinely uses and believes in, affiliate revenue, collaborations with major retailers, investments in emerging health and wellness companies, longer-form content, and a newsletter.
But Hunter believes creators should think beyond follower count.
“I think the key is understanding that follower count alone isn’t the business… trust and influence are.”
When an audience trusts a creator’s recommendations and acts on them, that influence can create opportunities well beyond social media.

What’s Next for Health With Hunter?
Hunter’s next chapter is focused on expanding the brand beyond short-form social content while maintaining the authenticity that got it there.
“My biggest goal is to continue expanding Health With Hunter beyond social media while staying true to what made the brand successful in the first place,” he says.
That includes putting more energy into long-form YouTube content and his newsletter, where he can explore topics in greater depth than a 30- or 60-second video allows.
He’s also interested in continuing to invest in and work closely with emerging health and wellness brands, with the eventual goal of creating products of his own.
And there are some major projects on the horizon.
“I’ve also been working hard on my website, which I will be revealing shortly along with a mobile app!”
Ultimately, Hunter wants Health With Hunter to become much more than a social media presence.
“I want Health With Hunter to become a trusted destination for people who want to make healthier choices without making their lives unnecessarily complicated.”
From a personal 50-pound transformation to a growing digital brand, Hunter’s story demonstrates the potential of building a business around genuine experience, consistent value, and—above all—trust.
